Entre Charme et Séduction

Welcome to the municipality of Grande-Vallée's all new Internet site. This site is updated frequently, so consult it often to know about the most recent and upcoming events in our beautiful region of the country.

Grande-Vallée is a majestic village situated halfway between Sainte-Anne-des-Monts and Gaspé, on the northern shore of the Gaspésie peninsula. It is one of the four villages forming the sector commonly known as « l'Estran ».

It owes its name to the passing of an immense glacier many thousands of years ago. This glacier's passage left an indelible mark, in the form of a valley, amongst the robust Appalachian Mountains. Here, the mountains literally embrace the sea while the river marries its waters with her own.

Above all, if you are passing Grande-Vallée, don't forget to stop at the tourist rest area (to the west of the village) where you can admire the total splendour of this coastal village. Immortalize this scene, as so many other travelers do, since Grande-Vallée is the most photographed location in the Gaspésie, after the Percé Rock.

Welcome home!
